Cerussite, Dundas, Tasmania

Reticulated “chrome” cerussite from the Dundas Extended Mine, Dundas, Tasmania. Cerussite is a lead carbonate mineral. This yellow form was originally thought to have been coloured by trace amounts of chromium. The actual specimen is 12mm wide. Completed in 4 hours in Procreate.

Not currently for sale. The most amazing amazonite I have seen. This crystal is a monster and aptly named “The Icon”. Found by the Dorris family while filming an episode of Prospectors, and prepped by Tim Dorris for display at the Tucson Show in 2015. Watercolour and ink.
